Itinerary
Day 1Sydney – Heart-shaped beach lookout – Mangroves – Lunch – Cliff cave
- 08:30Depart from the set meeting point
- 10:00The heart-shaped beach lookout, a favourite photo spot for couples. The heart only shows at low tide, but whether you see it or not doesn't really matter — with love in your heart, the view is always beautiful (15-minute stop).
- 11:30The mangroves. No need to go to Cairns to see mangroves — Sydney has wide stretches of these guardians of the sea too. Follow the boardwalk to the lookout, where the view suddenly opens up.
- 12:00Lunch at Jervis Bay (included)
- 13:30After lunch we walk 2 km from the cave car park to the cliff cave (the track may have puddles after rain). Through the narrow cave entrance lies another world, with open sea as far as you can see and breathtaking cliffs. Keep your camera ready — every shot is a postcard.
- 15:30Check in to a motel in Jervis Bay or Nowra and rest; dinner at your own arrangement.
- If the weather allows, a free evening of stargazing and searching for the blue tears can be arranged. The blue tears can't be predicted and depend on the weather on the day.
Day 2Jervis Bay – Oyster farm – Batemans Bay – Seal island
- 09:00Depart after breakfast (at your own cost)
- 10:30Oyster farm (30-minute stop), with a complimentary oyster and prawn tasting
- 12:00Lunch at your own arrangement
- 12:45Seal island half-day trip. Montague Island is the largest seal colony in Australia and New Zealand and one of Australia's largest little penguin breeding grounds; with luck, pods of dolphins swim alongside the boat (optional, $120 paid in advance, including the return boat trip and a 1.5-hour English-guided tour on the island; the guide does not go on the boat). If you'd rather not join, you're free to stroll around the pretty seaside town, enjoy a hot coffee, soak up the sun and the sea breeze.
- Check in to a motel in Narooma after the day's tour
- Dinner at your own arrangement
- If the weather allows, we'll take you to Camel Rock beach in the evening (free) to photograph Camel Rock under a sky full of stars.
Day 3Narooma – Australia Rock – Historic towns – Sydney
- 06:00After breakfast (at your own cost), watch the sunrise at Camel Rock and climb to the Horsehead Rock lookout to see the "horse" drinking from the sea. If you'd rather sleep in, that's fine too — after the sunrise we'll pick you up at the hotel and visit Glasshouse Rocks and Australia Rock together.
- 12:00Lunch at your own arrangement
- 13:00We return along the Princes Highway, stopping at historic towns on the way for some browsing and shopping.
- 17:00Back at the set drop-off point in Sydney
If conditions allow for star photography, you'll receive a free photo of yourself under the stars.
