Overview
Our dedicated and passionate Whale Watch family have designed each journey to educate and inspire our guests on the incredible history and life of the Humpback Whale. Our tours have been specifically designed to ensure that our time with the whales is respectful, educational and meaningful. Our moto is to observe and not influence behaviour ensuring that the behaviours we witness are natural and we are better able to match the energy of the whales with our brand new vessels design.
Whale Watching Season In Perth
The whale watching season in Perth focuses on two species of baleen whale, the Blue Whale and Humpback Whale who both have slightly different peak seasons. Depending on when you are wanting to go whale watching or what species you are inspired to meet will determine the best tour for you when whale watching in Perth.
April – May
The arrival of the endangered Blue Whale is anticipated every year during late Autumn as we enjoy the opportunity of visiting the Perth Canyon to meet our worlds largest creature spending time in a favourite feeding ground. Our Perth Canyon Blue Whale Safari is the only dedicated Blue Whale tour in Australia and one of very few places on the planet you can see Blue Whales in the wild.
August – December
The epic Humpback migration is now at its halfway point as from late winter and through spring we see the first of the southbound Humpback Whales making their migration back towards Antarctica. The sheltered waters just off the Perth coastline provide a perfect resting ground and socialisation opportunities for the visiting Humpbacks. Late August through to September observes many juveniles and social adult pods while September through to early December observes thousands of mothers and their newborn calves enjoying the safety of our sheltered waters.
