Then head to the charming German-style town of Hahndorf to experience its unique cultural charm. You’re free to stroll around and shop in the town or visit Beerenberg Strawberry Jam Farm, where you can pick and taste fresh strawberries yourself (and take some home—available only from November to April). For lunch, enjoy an authentic German pork knuckle and sausage set (at your own expense). After lunch, visit Melba’s Chocolate Factory. Finally, make your way to the Big Rocking Horse, located deep within the Adelaide Hills—the world’s largest rocking horse. Climb inside for a closer look and breathtaking views over the Adelaide Hills, then explore the small zoo featuring kangaroos, alpacas, emus, peacocks, goats, and more (admission included). The tour concludes with arrival back in the city around 5:00 PM.
(Note: The Big Rocking Horse and small zoo are standard inclusions. However, you may upgrade to the Canyon Zoo at an additional cost. Please inform us before booking. If no special request is made, the itinerary defaults to the Big Rocking Horse and small zoo.)

Day 4: Penfolds Magill Estate + Pink Lake
Depart from your hotel in central Adelaide at approximately 09:30, and drive about 30 minutes to the world-renowned Penfolds Magill Estate for a photo stop. As one of the birthplaces of the Penfolds brand, this estate offers scenic views and a chance to capture memorable photos of its historic grounds, immersing you in the rich heritage of South Australia’s wine culture. Afterwards, head to Lake Bumbunga—also known as Pink Lake—one of South Australia’s most famous Instagram-worthy destinations. Along the way, make a brief stop in Port Wakefield, where guests can enjoy a packed lunch at the town’s rest area.
Pink Lake is one of South Australia’s most iconic natural wonders. Due to the natural interaction between algae and salt in the water, the lake takes on a dreamy pink hue under certain weather conditions and seasons, appearing from afar like a vast pink mirror—an enchanting sight that captures the hearts of visitors. [Note: Pink Lake is a natural formation; its color may vary depending on season, weather, and lighting conditions. Please note actual appearance upon arrival.]
In the afternoon, visit Port Adelaide, a vibrant blend of history and modernity. Upon arrival, take a leisurely stroll along the harbor’s waterways, enjoying scenic views and learning about the city’s century-long maritime history. Optional activities include a 1.5-hour dolphin spotting tour in Henley Beach or a visit to the National Railway Museum, which features over 100 exhibits. You can climb into the driver’s cab of historic trains, explore vintage train carriages, or ride on the museum’s steam locomotive for a nostalgic experience. For those not joining optional tours, consider relaxing at Semaphore Beach—a favorite local spot with wide sandy shores and a distinctive long jetty. Take a walk along the shore, admire the coastal scenery, or sit down at a seaside café to soak up the laid-back atmosphere. The day concludes with a return to your Adelaide city hotel at around 17:30. (This itinerary can be replaced with a Barossa Valley day tour upon request. Please inform us before booking. If no special instructions are provided, the default option remains Penfolds + Pink Lake.)
Optional Activities:
– 1.5-hour Dolphin Spotting Tour at Henley Beach: $88/adult, $55/child (ages 3–12) (must book in advance)
– National Railway Museum: $19/adult, $7/child (ages 5–15)
Day 5: Full-Day Tour of the Fleurieu Peninsula + Airport Transfer
Pickup from your Adelaide hotel at 9:30 AM, heading to Port Willunga Beach—a popular Instagram hotspot known for its scenic caves and remnants of an old wharf. Next, visit the charming seaside town of Victor Harbor. You may choose to walk along a 630-meter wooden boardwalk to Granite Island, where you can admire the striking rock formations sculpted by ocean waves. Alternatively, opt to take a guided ride on the historic horse-drawn carriage (Australia’s only remaining horse-drawn railway carriage) to Granite Island. As the name suggests, this classic two-tiered carriage is pulled by strong horses, offering a relaxed and scenic tour around the island. After enjoying lunch independently in town, drive approximately 50 minutes to McLaren Vale to visit the surrealistic wine estate—d’Arenberg Cube. Here, guests may choose to pay extra for admission and wine tasting, enjoying a variety of premium wines while taking in panoramic views of the vineyards (guide not included). For those not entering the Cube, the guide will lead you to the trendy Down to the Rabbit Hole Wines, run by Elise Cook, an Instagram-savvy influencer with impeccable taste. The vintage double-decker bus and photo-friendly swings make it a must-visit for great social media shots. Arrive at the airport around 5:00 PM.
Optional Activities:
Horse-drawn carriage one-way: $20/adult (children free when accompanied by a paying adult)
d’Arenberg Cube admission + wine tasting: $20/adult, $10/child (ages 3–17)
