From the moment your alarm goes off in the morning, you will wake up with anticipation and excitement. This extraordinary journey begins before the city wakes up. The birds in the jungle sing and the colorful hot air balloons gradually unfold and the flames of the engines ignite our passion. You will rise with the sunrise and greet the first rays of dawn in the Melbourne sky.
There is no better way to see the world’s most liveable city without the long journey! As the giant hot air balloon slowly floats in the air, the fresh breeze blows on your face and the shining skyscrapers are within reach. You will fly over the world-famous garden city and take in the picturesque views of the Yarra River. After an hour of flying in the wind, you will feel true freedom. As the city slowly wakes up, your dream has come true.
Important Note
* Don’t worry about your trip. If the flight goes smoothly, a WeChat group will be established for guests, pilots and staff on the day of the trip for communication. If necessary, you can contact us to provide the WeChat account.
[Duration]
Approximately 4-4.5hrs, including: driving to the launch site, setting up/packing down the balloon, the approx. 1hr flight, driving back to the meeting place and finishing off with breakfast!

Meeting: Check-in at Pullman on the Park
Opening the balloon: Passengers can help the staff to install/open the balloon, which is a very special experience.
Balloon flight: The flight in the sky is about 1 hour. Because the flight route is determined by the wind direction, we cannot guarantee that we can fly over the center of the city.
Balloon folding: After the balloon lands, passengers can help the staff to fold the balloon together, which will be very interesting.
Breakfast: The staff of Global Balloon will send you back to the meeting hotel to enjoy a buffet breakfast. (Only for passengers who have ordered breakfast)
The whole experience takes about 3.5-4.5 hours, usually between 9-10am and back to the meeting point to disband.
Remember! You must check the latest flight status the night before the flight to confirm whether the flight can be carried out as usual and the specific pick-up time the next day. Please refer to your booking confirmation letter for details. Flight confirmation procedures.
[Parking]
– Discounted undercover parking is available at the meeting place (Pullman Melbourne on the Park hotel – 192 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne) up until 11am at a rate of $10. Please see the concierge after your flight to pay for your parking.
– Note: After 11am, the full day parking rate will apply.
[Weather]
– All balloon flights are weather dependent as we need to ensure it is safe to fly you based on the conditions. This will be determined by your pilot.
– Please download our mobile app & input your booking details to receive the latest weather update from our pilot.
– The night before your flight before 6pm, you’ll receive a notification confirming whether we can fly you based on the weather conditions and confirming the exact meeting time. You will be able to fill out the waiver/check-in for your flight on the app the night before.

– This package is NOT wheelchair accessible.
– The basket is about 1m high. We have foot holes in the side of the basket, as well as a step ladder to assist you in and out of the basket.
Notes before going
– Ballooning is an audience participation activity, and you will be encouraged to assist with the set up and pack away of the balloon.
– Closed toe footwear is compulsory. DO NOT WEAR high-heeled shoes, thongs/flip flops or open-toe shoes.Your feet can get wet and cold in the early morning dew. Bring a spare change of socks & shoes, especially in winter!
– Wear warm clothes as for hiking, sturdy shoes, warm socks and a cap as the burners radiate heat.
– Make sure you have pockets with zips so you can keep personal items safe.
– Do not bring any bags as these will not be allowed on the balloon. You can leave them in the ground crew vehicle whilst on your flight or at home/in your hotel.
– Generally, it will not be any colder in the air during the flight than it is on the ground, so wear layered clothing that can be removed as the day warms up.
– Don’t forget to bring your camera as there are plenty of photo opportunities. This is carried at your own risk.
– We meet approximately 1.5 hours before sunrise. When you check your flight details the evening before your flight (by downloading our mobile app), your pilot will let you know the exact time (see your booking confirmation for full details).

Ages
Children between the age of 6 and 12 years are welcome to fly on our balloon flights at the parent’s discretion. Adult’s rates apply. The pilot in command may at his discretion refuse to allow a child to fly. GBA does not carry child safety seats on board its vehicles and does not have appropriate fixtures to secure such seats. Parents or guardians must travel with children under the age of 12 years and passengers aged 13 to 18 need a guardian's consent to fly without an adult.
How to use
After the booking is confirmed, we will send a voucher to your email. Please be sure to check the email and check the voucher details. On the day of tour, please wait at the designated place 10 minutes in advance, wait for the driver to pick up, and present the confirmation to board the bus. Please note that the driver will not ring you. If you fail to join the tour due to being late, it will be deemed a NO SHOW and no refund can be made.
Once a booking has been made, the flight confirmation email states the 3 x steps for your to follow, as per below. 1. Search for the Global Ballooning Australia in your mobile App Store/Play Store. APPLE: https://itunes.apple.com/app/globalballooning-australia/id1161211187 ANDROID: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.safetravels.globalballooningau 2. Click 'Sign Up' and enter details into the app. 3. Input the TRIP details into the MY FLIGHTS tab – The Flight Location & Flight Date. If the trip details are not added, the client WILL NOT receive an update about their flight. The client should double check they have entered the right location/date otherwise they won’t receive the update. If you have changed your flight date with our office, please remember to input your new trip details into the app as above. The app does not officially add them into a new flight – it MUST be confirmed with our office first.

If the trip is cancelled due to bad weather, please contact Global Balloon to rebook. If you do not complete the flight confirmation procedure and cause misunderstandings and miss the flight time, your reservation will be void and cannot be rebooked or refunded.
Good to know
The balloon ride requires no major surgery within 6 months, and the body condition can support 1 hour of standing.
Ballooning is an audience participation activity and you will be encouraged to assist with the set up and pack away of the balloon. It is an active morning in the outdoors, so wear clothes that can get stained or dirty & appropriate closed-toe footwear.

The general weight limit is 140kg, and additional charges may apply if you exceed this weight.
Global Ballooning Australia will not be responsible for clothing that is stained or damaged as a part of our adventure activity. The burners can sometimes drip water mixed with Carbon.
You can carry a camera, but you can't carry a selfie stick, tripod, etc.
For safety reasons, we do not recommend pregnant women in the third trimester to ride. We strongly recommend that you consult your doctor before flying to understand any health risks and recommendations. In addition, we reserve the right to refuse entry to any passenger if our pilot believes that this may endanger the safety of the flight or passengers, such as during take off or landing in strong winds.
Weather, Mechanical, Staffing, Safety & Other Conditions: Hot air ballooning is dependent on favourable weather conditions to ensure safety. Additionally, flights may be subject to mechanical performance or staffing availability. If Global Ballooning Australia deems conditions unsuitable or unsafe, flights may be cancelled. A flight may also be postponed if the minimum number of passengers is not met.
Melbourne flights do not always fly over the central business district (CBD). While our pilots will strive to fly as close to the CBD as possible, flight paths are determined by current meteorological conditions to ensure the safest flight possible.
In the event that a service is delayed, rescheduled, or canceled due to any of the above factors, Global Ballooning Australia will hold the payment as credit and offer alternative booking dates. Global Ballooning Australia will not be liable for any travel, accommodation, inconvenience, or other costs incurred or lost due to such cancellations. International, interstate, and regional visitors should be aware of the possibility of short-notice cancellations.
Disclaimer
After the product is successfully booked, we will send you a confirmation voucher. The main information about the reservation and the precautions for participation will be provided on the confirmation voucher. Please read it. If you do not have any feedback, we consider that you have read and know all the information on its confirmation.
As an intermediary agency, we are only responsible for making travel product reservations for tourists.
We recommend that tourists purchase travel insurance. Tourist product suppliers such as tourist attractions, hotels and transportation companies will be directly responsible for the quality, service and safety of travel products. We are not responsible for any safety issues with the products ordered.
In the event of an unexpected situation without insurance, we will only assist in handling it.
If the booking is forcibly cancelled due to the reasons of the travel product supplier, we will refund the full amount corresponding to the booking without additional compensation.
No show: Ticket holders who 'no show' without prior cancellation or notification are not eligible for a refund.
We will try our best to assist tourists to communicate and negotiate solutions with tourism product suppliers.
For some marine products (including but not limited to various cruises, whale watching cruise, etc.), the supplier reserve the right to arrange alternative vessels or make changes to itineraries, service timetables, routes and/or destinations. The supplier may cancel or abandon the cruise if they consider it necessary for weather or safety reasons and except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, we will not be liable for any loss or expense incurred by the Passenger caused by such substitution or cancellation.
When visiting attractions or participating in activities, please strictly adhere to the instructions provided by the venue or staff. Ensure you fully understand the associated risks (refer to venue announcements or the safety waiver required for signature for specific details), cooperate as required to implement appropriate safety precautions, and strictly refrain from engaging in any dangerous behaviors during the activity.
