Multi-award winning Balloon Aloft has been offering Hunter Valley balloon flights for over forty years. Located just two hours north of Sydney and forty-five minutes from Newcastle, the Hunter Valley – Australia’s premier vineyard region – offers the perfect backdrop for the flight of a lifetime.
Meeting at the renowned Peterson House Winery in Pokolbin, our Hunter Valley sunrise balloon flights take in spectacular views of the lower Hunter Valley wine regions including Pokolbin, Lovedale, Broke and Rothbury. A sunrise balloon flight over the Hunter Valley is sure to impress with views of endless vineyards, picturesque farmland, mountain ranges and national parks all on display.
Balloon Aloft is delighted to be able to meet our Hunter Valley passengers at the premier sparkling wine house in the Hunter Valley, Peterson House. Following their flight adventure, passengers are returned to Peterson House where they can enjoy a delicious gourmet breakfast and sparkling wine tasting. Peterson’s, conveniently located on the corner of Broke Road and Wine Country Drive in Central Pokolbin, is the perfect location to begin and complete your ballooning adventure.
Hunter Valley Balloon Flight with Sydney CBD Transfer Package Sample Itinerary
2:30am: Depart from Sydney (Hotel pickups: Rydges Hotel World Square, Holiday Inn Darling Harbour, The Intercontinental Sydney)
5:00am: Meet our Pilots & ground crew members at Petersons House
5:30am: Travel to the launch site
6:30am: Enjoy approximately 1 hour sunrise balloon flight
8:00am: Gourmet Champagne breakfast at Peterson House
9:00am: Begin the return journey to Sydney
*Departure time varies each day. Your exact departure time will be communicated to you the day before your scheduled flight.
*Please note that for each departure, a minimum of 6 passengers is required. Package tickets are fully refundable in case of tour cancelled by Balloon Aloft due to bad weather conditions or below the minimum operating number.

Ages
Please note children must be 5 years or older, and taller than 90cm to be able to fly. For children between 90cm-120cm tall you will need contact the Balloon Aloft office to arrange a booster cushion for the flight. A weight limit of 60kg applies to children’s tickets.
How to use
We will send an e-voucher to your email after the booking is confirmed. Please check your email and check the information on the voucher. On the day of tour, please bring a paper or electronic voucher and wait at the meeting point at least 30 minutes in advance.
If transportation is not included, arrive at the meeting point at Peterson's Champagne House at least 30 minutes in advance on the day of the event. The meeting point is located at the corner of Broken Road and Wine country Drive in Pokolbin. It is recommended to arrive at Cessnock one day in advance, which is only a 15 minute drive from the gathering place.
If you choose to include pick-up and drop off, please arrive at the designated location at least 15 minutes in advance and wait for the pick-up.
All necessary information will be provided via email and text message. It is important to provide the correct email address and mobile phone number to ensure you receive all flight updates. If you have update phone number, please let us konw. If you haven't received flight updates, please contact 1300 723 279 or 02 4990 9242 (Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm)
Good to know
The balloon ride requires no major surgery within 6 months, and the body condition can support 1 hour of standing;
The gathering time of the flight is about 45 minutes before sunrise, and the final time is subject to the supplier's reply;
The whole activity lasts about 4 hours, about 10:00am after breakfast (time for reference only);
Please wear comfortable and convenient shoes to participate in the activity. It is recommended to bring a camera, hat and sunglasses.
Please be sure to open the international roaming service, and contact the inquiry number on the list the day before the flight to confirm the exact collection time on the flight day;
Hot air balloon flight depends on the weather. For the safety of passengers, we will suspend the flight under some unfavourable weather conditions (such as strong wind, rain or fog).;
For your safety, please fill in the true weight of each passenger, and the activity company will weigh you on the spot again. If the difference between the on-site weight and the booked weight is more than 10%, the activity company may refuse to participate and cannot refund.

After the product is successfully booked, we will send you a confirmation voucher. The main information about the reservation and the precautions for participation will be provided on the confirmation voucher. Please read it. If you do not have any feedback, we consider that you have read and know all the information on its confirmation.
As an intermediary agency, we are only responsible for making travel product reservations for tourists.
We recommend that tourists purchase travel insurance. Tourist product suppliers such as tourist attractions, hotels and transportation companies will be directly responsible for the quality, service and safety of travel products. We are not responsible for any safety issues with the products ordered.
In the event of an unexpected situation without insurance, we will only assist in handling it.
If the booking is forcibly cancelled due to the reasons of the travel product supplier, we will refund the full amount corresponding to the booking without additional compensation.
No show: Ticket holders who 'no show' without prior cancellation or notification are not eligible for a refund.
We will try our best to assist tourists to communicate and negotiate solutions with tourism product suppliers.
For some marine products (including but not limited to various cruises, whale watching cruise, etc.), the supplier reserve the right to arrange alternative vessels or make changes to itineraries, service timetables, routes and/or destinations. The supplier may cancel or abandon the cruise if they consider it necessary for weather or safety reasons and except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, we will not be liable for any loss or expense incurred by the Passenger caused by such substitution or cancellation.
When visiting attractions or participating in activities, please strictly adhere to the instructions provided by the venue or staff. Ensure you fully understand the associated risks (refer to venue announcements or the safety waiver required for signature for specific details), cooperate as required to implement appropriate safety precautions, and strictly refrain from engaging in any dangerous behaviors during the activity.
