Spirit of Melbourne Cruising Restaurant – Lunch Cruise

Our menus are characterised by the freshest produce and seafood from Victoria, prepared in a straightforward manner to accentuate their natural flavours. Kindly be aware that the menu is subject to changes.

Special Menus and Dietary Requests: 1. Please inform us of any Dietary Requirements in advance to ensure we can accommodate them. We offer substitutions for vegan, pescatarian, halal, dairy free and gluten free. 2. Our menu predominantly consists of halal options; however, we regret to inform you that the lamb shank is not halal. For precise information about our menu items, we encourage you to contact us directly.

Kindly be aware that it falls under the client’s obligation to inform Melbourne River Cruises about any attendees who might have food allergies or intolerances, which could include, but aren’t limited to, sensitivity to traces of nuts. Even though we prepare all our dishes onboard, the premium ingredients we use are supplied by external vendors. Consequently, we cannot assure the complete absence of allergens (for example, nuts or dairy) in our offerings.

Unfortunately, our vessels (including the on-board restrooms) are not wheelchair accessible and we do not have the facilities to accommodate passengers in wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

Passengers must be able to manage stairs to board and disembark the vessel on there own or be assisted by their carers only as our staff are not permitted to assist (by carrying any passengers for boarding) in any way.

The Cruising Restaurant may sometimes operate on the Yarra Countess and the Yarra Empress, depending on demand, weather, major events, river closures, and tides

Where can I find car parking close by? Wilson Parking offers secure car parking and are located in Southgate Ave, just a short walk from our departure point.

Is there a toilet on board? Yes

Are seats assigned/can I request a window seat? Seats are assigned, but we take requests into account. Feel free to request a certain seat, but please know it is not guaranteed.

Does everyone get a table by the window? We try to seat as many people by the windows as possible, but not everyone is able to sit there. However, there is no bad table on our boat!

Does my cruise get rescheduled in case of rain or high tide? If your cruise is rescheduled or canceled you will be contacted before the cruise. It is determined case-by-case.

Where does the boat travel? The Spirit of Melbourne Cruising Restaurant cruises up river, passing the Botanical Gardens and sporting stadiums. Please note that our cruise path is subject to weather and tidal conditions.

How many patrons can be accommodated onboard? The Spirit of Melbourne can accommodate up to 90 passengers and the floor plan is designed for the bookings that evening. Each booking will have their own table, large groups of 15 or more may be split across two tables.

After the product is successfully booked, we will send you a confirmation voucher. The main information about the reservation and the precautions for participation will be provided on the confirmation voucher. Please read it. If you do not have any feedback, we consider that you have read and know all the information on its confirmation.

As an intermediary agency, we are only responsible for making travel product reservations for tourists.

We recommend that tourists purchase travel insurance. Tourist product suppliers such as tourist attractions, hotels and transportation companies will be directly responsible for the quality, service and safety of travel products. We are not responsible for any safety issues with the products ordered.

In the event of an unexpected situation without insurance, we will only assist in handling it.

If the booking is forcibly cancelled due to the reasons of the travel product supplier, we will refund the full amount corresponding to the booking without additional compensation.

No show: Ticket holders who 'no show' without prior cancellation or notification are not eligible for a refund.

We will try our best to assist tourists to communicate and negotiate solutions with tourism product suppliers.

For some marine products (including but not limited to various cruises, whale watching cruise, etc.), the supplier reserve the right to arrange alternative vessels or make changes to itineraries, service timetables, routes and/or destinations. The supplier may cancel or abandon the cruise if they consider it necessary for weather or safety reasons and except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, we will not be liable for any loss or expense incurred by the Passenger caused by such substitution or cancellation.

When visiting attractions or participating in activities, please strictly adhere to the instructions provided by the venue or staff. Ensure you fully understand the associated risks (refer to venue announcements or the safety waiver required for signature for specific details), cooperate as required to implement appropriate safety precautions, and strictly refrain from engaging in any dangerous behaviors during the activity.
