Overview
In 100 years Taronga has evolved from a location of entertainment to a mature conservation and education hub.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Taronga acknowledges the unique status of Australia’s First Peoples as the original people of this land. We recognise their cultures, histories and ongoing relationship and obligations to the land and waterways.
Taronga Zoo Sydney is located on Bradleys Head Road in Mosman, right on Sydney Harbour and easily accessible from the Sydney CBD.
After 35 years, Taronga Zoo’s current Sky Safari took its last ride on the 31 January 2023. First installed to its iconic position in 1987 and then upgraded in 2000, the Sky Safari is one of Taronga’s most loved experiences and has transported more than 20 million passengers over its lifetime. The current Sky Safari is an ageing asset and has reached the end of its workable life with Taronga. Plans are now underway to transform the Sky Safari into an exciting and fully accessible experience. While we are in early stages of planning, the revitalised Sky Safari will feature additional larger and fully accessible gondolas, extend along an expanded route, and provide greater access to the zoo for guests of all ages and abilities – particularly elderly visitors and those with prams.In the meantime, guests to Taronga Zoo Sydney can enter the Zoo through the iconic heritage gates at the Main Entrance at the top of the zoo, or the Lower Zoo Entrance which is a 3 minute walk from the Taronga Zoo ferry wharf. Buses also connect the ferry wharf and Lower Zoo Entrance with the top entrance.

Child (4-15 yrs). Adult 16 years and over.
Children under 4 FOC. Each paying adult can take one FOC child. Proof may be requested at entrance.
How to use
After the booking is confirmed, we will send a voucher to your email. On the day of tour, at the ticket office, present the QR code on your e-ticket at the park entrance to scan and enter the park.
If there's a problem scanning the code, please show your confirmation number on the voucher to the staff to redeem the ticket to enter the park.
Good to know
No visit will be allowed 30 minutes before the close time, so please enter more than 30 minutes before the park close.
Opening hours may vary on Holidays, please check by you own before go there.

Once the product has been successfully booked, a confirmation voucher will be issued. The voucher contains important booking details and participation notes. Please read it carefully. If we do not receive any feedback from you, it will be deemed that you have read, understood and accepted all information stated on the voucher.
As an intermediary booking agent, we are responsible for arranging travel product reservations on behalf of customers.
We recommend that customers purchase travel insurance. Travel product suppliers, including attractions, hotels and transportation providers, are directly responsible for the quality, service and safety of the products they provide. We are not liable for safety issues arising from products operated by third-party suppliers.
In the event of an unexpected incident where no travel insurance coverage applies, we will provide reasonable assistance where possible; however, any related costs or losses will be borne by the customer.
If the booking is cancelled due to reasons attributable to the travel product supplier, we will refund the amount paid for the affected booking. No additional compensation will be provided.
No-show: Ticket holders who fail to attend without prior cancellation or notification will not be eligible for a refund.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist customers in communicating and negotiating solutions with travel product suppliers.
When visiting attractions or participating in activities, please strictly follow all instructions provided by the venue and staff. Please ensure that you fully understand the associated risks, including any venue notices or safety waivers that may be required. Customers must cooperate with all safety requirements and must not engage in any dangerous behaviour during the activity.
